The HDF180NPTA automatic condensate drain trap contains a mechanical float. As condensate enters the drain housing, the float lifts and it unseats from an orifice. This allows condensate to drain from the housing. As the condensate level drops, the float re-seats before compressed air escapes.
The HDF180NPTA is best used with coalescing filters, water separators, and refrigerated dryers.
