CAT375 Activated Carbon Tower, 375 SCFM, Parker

303-444-2869

Flow Rating (CFM):
375

CAT Series activated carbon towers by Parker purify industrial compressed air by removing residual oil vapors and odors for use with critical applications in such industries as food processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and electronics.

How it Works

Dry compressed air flows from top to bottom through a single vessel containing high-quality activated carbon. Any remaining oil-aerosols and oil vapors, including odors and tastes, are removed by the active surface area of the highly-porous activated carbon to produce high quality, clean compressed air. Finally, the treated compressed air exits the vessel and passes through an after-filter (sold separately) to remove any activated carbon fines. The use of an oil-indicator tube supplied as standard allows quality checks to be carried out periodically for verifying air purification. The lifetime of the activated carbon filling can vary and is dependent on the contamination type, quantity, and the relative humidity of the supplied compressed air.  Typically the carbon bed will last 8,000 hours or more when properly maintained.
