Alpha Series centrifugal water separators from Walker Filtration use a unique spinner to remove 99% of bulk liquid from compressed air lines. Unlike competitive units this spinner maintains efficient liquid separation across the full range of air flow. A shield at the base of the spinner prevents re-entrainment of liquid. The separator has no consumable component and the auto drain can be serviced without disassembling the housing, greatly simplifying maintenance.
Bulk liquid separation is a key function in any compressed air treatment system, protecting filters and dryers from slugs of condensate. A centrifugal separator is typically installed following the after-cooler or wet receiver tank.
