The ID15-SW instrument gas dryer from Van Air Systems removes water vapor from small and intermittent flows of compressed air or natural gas. The dryer is typically used to prevent water condensation and the freezing of pneumatic supply lines that control valves, positioners and other production equipment at remote oil and natural gas wells.
The dryer has no moving parts, requires no power, and vents no gas. The dryer consists of a aluminum housing and replaceable silica gel cartridge. The dryer will process approximately 2,500 SCF of air or gas before the desiccant becomes water saturated and requires replacement. A sight window in the housing allows quick visual inspection of the desiccant. The silica gel turns from blue to pink when saturated.
This dryer should not be used in continuously flowing applications (e.g. fuel gas).
