The A39TH compressed air heater system from Walker Filtration uses an open wound heating coil and a high accuracy output temperature sensing device. This combination of a fast responding heater and sensor allow the unit to adjust quickly to any variations in flow rate or inlet temperature without deviation in the desired output temperature. Suitable for use in industrial or breathing air applications, the output can be controlled between 68°F (20°C) to 248°F (120°C).
The heater is controlled by a compact solid state temperature controller mounted at the top of the unit. Output temperature is set using a rotary knob located on the side of the unit. The exact temperature output is indicated by a bi-metallic thermometer clearly visible at the front of the heater, providing an independent indication of controller operation.
Incoming compressed air must be free of oil and water droplets and solid particulate contamination. Introducing contamination to the heater housing may damage the heating element. The optional coalescing pre-filter should be selected for applications without existing pre-filtration.
Warning: Power to the heater should not be supplied in the absence of flowing compressed air. During zero flow conditions, the end-user is responsible for de-energizing the heater. Not doing so risks overheating the equipment and damaging the element.
