How to Regenerate Molecular Sieve in Small Batches
Posted by Tyler on 03 19 2019
We're often asked how to regenerate/reactivate/refresh small batches of molecular sieve that our customers use in laboratories or other low volume applications. Here are some simple to follow instructions:
Spread the beads out on a pan and them in direct sunlight for a couple of hours in a well ventilated area. This will evaporate any solvents you've been drying. Put the sieve beads in an oven at 150 F for an hour, raise the temperture to 250 for an hour and then to 400 F for an hour.
If you've been drying air, nitrogen, or something similarly non toxic, skip the first step.
