Centrifugal sand separators are used in a wide range of agricultural, residential, and commercial water treatment applications.  Many sediment separators require periodic back-flushing to purge sand and particulates that have accumulated on filtration screens.  Automating back-flushing increases an owner's productivity.  The MDV-400I automatic purge valve includes a heavy-duty adjustable timer and a full-ported ball valve.  The valve can be actuated based an adjustable time interval, an external signal (e.g. different pressure switch), or a combination of time and signal.  Valves are stocked from 1/2" to 1" in either brass or stainless steel.  Larger sizes are available on a special order basis.
