High inlet temperature refrigerated air dryers include an on-board after-cooler with moisture separator and commonly used with piston-type air compressors. Piston compressors discharge hot and moisture-laden compressed air. Lowering the temperature of the air prior to the dryer allows for more efficient and effective removal of water vapor.
