MHL Series compressed air dryers from Van Air Systems are compact, easy to install, and simple to maintain. Ideal applications include critical points-of-use, instrument air systems, OEM equipment, and any air system requiring -40⁰F dew point compressed air.
MHL dryers consist of two desiccant columns, a timer assembly, and control valves. Compressed air flows through one column where water vapor is adsorbed to a bed of activated alumina beads. A portion of dry outlet air is diverted to the offline column where it strips water vapor from the desiccant. This process is called pressure swing adsorption (PSA) or heatless drying. Flow continuously switches between the two columns, allowing for steady delivery of high purity compressed air.
