Automatic Drains

Automatic drains remove condensate from compressor tanks, water separators, dryers, filters, and drip legs.  Pick from several styles of electric, pneumatic, and mechanical drains.  When choosing a drain consider efficiency, available power, indoor or outdoor installation, maintenance, reliability and initial cost.  Some quick tips to help with your seach:

  • Small shops that use piston air compressors usually pick solenoid timer drains.
  • Medium to large industrial facilities with rotary screw compressors should use energy efficient pneumatic or electric zero air loss drains.
  • Outdoor installations and applications with heavy particulate and oil contamination should use clog proof motorized ball valve drains.
